A great way to translate a page on eBay is by using Google Translate.

There are two different ways of using Google Translate. You can use the website, or Google Chrome.

Firstly, go to the Google Translate web page, and select “Websites”.

So, enter the eBay URL which you want translated.

Then, you will be taken to the website, but will be fully translated in to the language you selected.

You can now navigate eBay and be able to understand what you’re reading.

Alternatively, you can use Google Chrome.

Download and install Chrome, and then open it up.

Go to the eBay site you want to translate.

Now, you need to go to the URL bar and you will see the Google Translate logo.

Tap on it and you will need to select the language you want the page translated to.

Or, you can right-click on an empty space on the web page and tap on “Translate to English”.

This will launch Google Translate at the top of Google Chrome and you can select the language you want it to be changed to.

Now you can understand the web page and find the product you want to buy.

Also, it’s important to note that Google Translate may make mistakes when translating words. But, it is definitely better than not being able to understand the website at all!

2. Use a different eBay site

A second way of changing the language on eBay is to use a different eBay website.

Sometimes, your browser may send you to the wrong eBay site because of a cookie which has set your language incorrectly.

If you did not know, eBay has different websites for different languages.

For example, the eBay site, which is in Spanish is, while the eBay site, which is in English is

So, you should find the eBay site which is in the language you want it to be, and then use that one.

However, if say you want to use the English American eBay site, but live in Spain, and you place an order from, then this means that the product will be shipped from the United States.

So, when you place your order, you should try and use the eBay for your country which sellers in your country use, because otherwise you will have high shipping fees and wait a long time for your product to arrive.

But, if you don’t mind waiting a while for your delivery and paying a high shipping fee, then you can always order from the eBay site you can understand and read.

How do I get eBay in English?

The best way to get an eBay site translated in to English is to use Google Translate. On the Google Translate site, you can enter a domain and it will be translated to any language you would like. Alternatively, you can just visit and that site will be in English.

Why is eBay in Chinese?

eBay is most likely in Chinese because you are visiting the Chinese eBay site. So, try going to This eBay site will be in English. However, you may want a different language than English, so you may need to find the eBay site which is for you country/language.

Alternatively, you can use Google Translate to convert the Chinese to English. This will mean you don’t need to go to a different eBay site.
