Then, you can delete the account, or you can use it. If TikTok denies your appeal, you can not delete the account, but, you can create a new account.
We will explain how to appeal the ban and then what to do next, depending on the result of the appeal.
Appeal Your TikTok Ban
When you log-in to the banned TikTok account, you will get a notification saying you were banned.
Then, you can tap “Appeal”.
Next, you will need to follow the instructions and fill in the form with all the information TikTok asks for
Make sure you include any information which will be useful, and explain why there may be confusion about your account and explain why it does not violate the guidelines.
Once you have completed it, you can submit it to TikTok for review.
TikTok may make mistakes when banning accounts, so there is a chance you may get your account back.
TikTok Will Review Your Appeal
Now, TikTok will review your appeal and decide whether your account should be un-banned. You can check if your account has been un-banned by trying to log-in to your account.
If your account remains banned, this means you cannot delete your account.
The best option will be to forget about your old account and create a new account, but make sure you don’t break the guidelines as otherwise, you will get banned again.
However, if TikTok does un-ban your account, this means you can either delete your old account, or you can continue to use it.
Delete Your TikTok Account
Here are the steps to delete your TikTok account.
Firstly, go to your TikTok profile by tapping on “Profile” in the bottom right.
Secondly, tap on the menu button in the top right, which looks like three bars.
Then, you can tap on “Settings and privacy”.
Look for the “Account” section and tap on “Manage account”
Now, navigate to the section titled “Account control” and you will see an option to “Delete account”.
Then, TikTok optionally asks you to give a reason why you are leaving TikTok, but you can tap “Skip”.
Also, TikTok allows you to request a download of your TikTok data. You will need to wait until you download it before deleting your account.
Before your TikTok account is deleted, your account will be deactivated for 30 days and won’t be visible to the public. During the deactivation period, you can reactivate your account anytime. After 30 days, your account and data will be permanently deleted.
TikTok also says, if you delete your account:
- You won’t be able to log in and use any TikTok services with that account.
- You will lose access to all your videos
- Information that isn’t stored in your account, such as direct messages, may still be visible to others.
- Information that isn’t stored on TikTok servers, such as drafts, will be removed. You won’t be able to download such information after deleting your account.
- You won’t be able to get a refund on any items you purchased or received.
You will need to enter your password and you can then delete your account.
Create A New TikTok Account
If your appeal was rejected, or you successfully deleted your account, then you can create a new TikTok account.
Firstly, open the TikTok app and then you can choose a way to sign-up for TikTok.
You can either use your phone or email, or use Facebook, Apple, Google or Twitter.
Now, you will have a brand new TikTok account!
