Can you send pictures on Tinder?
It is possible to send pictures on Tinder. At the moment, there is no feature to directly send pictures in messages on Tinder, but there are work-arounds. You may find that you want to send a picture in a conversation you are having, so we will show you how you can.
How to send photos on Tinder
Here are some different methods you can use to send photos or pictures in Tinder messages.
Method one: Send a picture using a website
Firstly, you need to take the photo using your devices camera and make sure the picture is in your camera roll.
Secondly, you need to navigate to the website https://prnt.sc
Then, you can tap on “Browse images”.
After tapping on the “Browse images” button, you may be prompted to choose a location on your device where you want to look for pictures.
On an iPhone, we had the options for “Photo Library”, “Take Photo or Video”, or “Choose File”.
Choose the image you want to send in a message on Tinder, and upload it to the site.
Once the image has finished uploading, you will get a success message, with a link below it in a box.
When someone visits this link, they will be able to view the image you just uploaded.
So, tap on the link and select it. Then, you can copy it to your clipboard.
Next, you need to navigate to Tinder and find the person you want to send the picture to.
Open up the chat with the user, and paste the link and send it. Feel free to explain that the link leads to an image. Otherwise, it may seem suspicious.
However, we understand that you may not want to upload your picture to a website. But, don’t worry because we have another method you can use!
Method two: Add the picture to your profile
You may prefer this second method because you won’t need to leave Tinder to share the picture with the person you have matched with.
First of all, open up Tinder and head to your profile by tapping on the Tinder icon in the left of the bottom navigation bar.
Then, tap on “Edit profile”.
Now, you can add more photos to your profile.
You can then add the picture you want to share to your profile.
However, this method will only work if you are happy for other Tinder users and potential matches to see the picture. But, it does mean you don’t have to upload it to another website.
Also, you could just add it temporarily to your profile until the other person has seen it, and then you can remove it.
You will need to tell the user that you have a picture you would like to send them and that you have added it to your profile for them to see.
Method three: Use an alternative messaging platform
Another way you can send pictures to a Tinder user via messages is by messaging them using a different platform.
You could either get their mobile number or add them on another social media. For example, on Instagram, Twitter or, Snapchat.
Once you have an alternate way to message the Tinder user, you can then move the entire conversation to the alternate platform, or you can just send the picture on the other platform and continue your conversation on Tinder.
Also, as we mentioned, you can use WhatsApp or just text the person if you don’t like using social media.
Method four: Send a GIF similar to the picture
Another great way to send a picture on Tinder, especially if it’s a meme, is to use a GIF.
You will notice a button above your keyboard when you are typing a message which when tapped, will show you GIFs you can send.
Scroll through the GIFs until you find one which is similar to your picture. Then, you can send the GIF.
We understand that this method won’t always work depending on the nature of the image, but it’s worth checking out as it means the picture/GIF will be sent in the Tinder chat.
