1. Go live on Instagram
First of all, you need to go live on Instagram.
Go to your Instagram homepage where you can view your feed.

When you’re ready to start your live, tap on the shutter button at the bottom in the middle.

In order to wave, you need to tap on the “Comment” box.
This will bring up your keyboard and allow you to type a comment.
However, in order to wave, you need to tap on the emoji keyboard in the bottom left.
Once you are on the emoji keyboard, you can either scroll until you see the waving emoji, or you can search for “wave” in the search box.
Then, tap on the waving emoji and it will be added to your comment.
