1. Hypixel’s Guinness World Records
At the moment, Hypixel holds four Guinness World Records.
These world records are:

- The most unique players logged into a Minecraft server is 11,982,298 achieved by the Hypixel server network as of 24th August 2017.

2. Hypixel’s release date
Hypixel was initially launched to the public on April 13th, 2013.
The Hypixel server was first created to play and further showcase maps that the creators had built.
Minigames were originally created for users to play while waiting for the other players to join and play on the maps.

Hypixel had to shut down for emergency maintenance on June 18th, 2021.
Hypixel stated that its host was under a large-scale DDoS attack.
Subsequently, the server remained closed down for four days before re-opening.
Then, Hypixel released a statement saying they have been dealing with DDoS attacks for well over 8 years and that recent changes at their host caused a flaw in their setup.
9. Hypixel’s most popular games
The two most popular games on Hypixel are Skyblock and Bedwars.
Skyblock is where a player starts on a private island and is given quests that teach them how to play.
Players can level up their skills by going to specific islands. Like farming, or combat.
Bedwars is where players need to protect their own bed while trying to destroy other players or team’s bed.
Once the player’s bed is destroyed, they won’t be able to respawn.
10. Hypixel’s unique log ins
As of September 2020, Hypixel has had 20 million unique players log in to the server.
This means that 20 million different Minecraft accounts have connected to the server.
So, even if you have joined the server multiple times, it only counts as one.
