overlay videos on tiktok

Do you want to overlay multiple videos on TikTok? Well, we’ve got you covered!

You may want to edit and post a TikTok video where multiple videos overlay each other.

We will explain how you can do this.

Let’s get right into this!

1. Download CapCut

At the moment, the video editor on TikTok doesn’t have the ability to overlay videos, so you will need to use another video editing software, like CapCut.

So, firstly, you need to download CapCut.

CapCut is a free video editing software available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

So, go ahead and download CapCut to your device.

2. Save the videos you want to overlay

Secondly, you need to make sure the videos you want to overlay are saved to your photo library so they’re ready to use.

If the videos you want to use are on TikTok, then save them to your device.

3. Open CapCut and create a project

Next, you need to open up CapCut.

Once you are on CapCut, you need to tap on “Create new project” on the home screen.

Then, you need to select the videos which you want to be in the background.

Later on, you will select the video you want to overlay on to the others.

Tap on the checkbox in the top right of each video to select them.

4. Find where you want to overlay the video

Now, you need to decide where you would like to overlay the video.

You will notice a white bar in the project timeline.

You can move this by moving your finger across the timeline.

So, you need to move the white bar to where you want to start overlaying the video.

5. Overlay the video

Once you have positioned the white bar to where you want to place the video, you need to navigate to the toolbar at the bottom of CapCut.

Then, you need to tap on “Overlay”.

You need to tap on “Add overlay”. There is an icon that looks like a plus button.

Now, CapCut will open your photo library and you need to select the videos you would like to overlay on top of the others.

Just like before, you need to tap on the checkbox in the top right of the video you would like to add.

You can only overlay one video at a time, so you will need to repeat the process to overlay another.

Now, the video will be added to your timeline.

Even though it’s overlaying the other video, it will appear under the video in the timeline.

You can tap on the video and use the CapCut toolbar to make any changes you would like.

Also, you can adjust the size of the overlaying video as well.

Make sure the overlaying video is selected in the project timeline, and then you can move the video and pinch it with your fingers to adjust its size.

After a while, CapCut may compress the overlaying video in the project timeline.

In order to expand the timeline and make further changes to the overlaying video, you need to tap on the icon just above the video in the timeline.

All you need to do is tap on the share/export button in the top right of CapCut.
