How To Whitelist On Minehut (Add & Remove Users)

Do you want to add or remove someone from your whitelist on your Minehut server? If so, we will explain the exact steps you need to follow.

A whitelist is a list of users who are allowed to join your server. It will stop users who are not on your whitelist from joining, so it makes your server private and protects it from strangers.

Also, there are different ways of adding and removing users from your whitelist, so we explain all of the different ways.

How to whitelist someone on a Minehut server

As we briefly mentioned, there are different ways of adding users to your whitelist.

The first way we will show you will show you how to do it on the Minehut website, while the second way will show you how to do it in-game, on your server.

1. Go to Minehut

Firstly, you need to go to the Minehut website, and log-in to your account.

Secondly, you need to go to your Minehut Dashboard, and your Server List which shows you all of the servers you have on Minehut.

You will need to choose the server you want to add someone to the list whitelist on.

Once you have chosen the server, you need to click “Activate Server” which will start the server.

Then, you will be taken to the server settings.

2. Enable the whitelist on your server

Next, you need to enable the Whitelist setting on your server.

So, scroll down on the Settings page, until you see the section titled “Server Properties”.

Near the bottom of this section you will see the setting for the “Whitelist”. By default, this setting will be disabled.

You need to click on it and change it to “Enabled”.

Then, scroll up to the top of the section and click on “Save Changes”.

Now, you have enabled the whitelist, but you haven’t added any players to it. So, not even your self will be able to join the server!

3. Add yourself to the whitelist

Before you add any other players, you should whitelist yourself, because then you can join your server.

So, go to the top navigation bar on Minehut and click on “Console”.

The Console is where you can execute commands on your server.

Once you are on the Console page, you will see the Live Console.

Scroll down until you can see the text box or command line. It will say “Enter Command”.

You need to type in “whitelist add” followed by your username.

So, for example, ours says “whitelist add TutorialTucker”.

Then, you need to press the Enter key on your keyboard and the command will be executed.

You should get a response saying “Added Username to the whitelist”.

If you get a response saying “That username does not exist”, this means you have entered a username which no Minecraft account has. So, you most likely have made a typo.

Now, you have added yourself, you can add other users. You can do this from the Console on Minehut, or you can do it in-game.

4. Add other users to the whitelist

So, you can add other people to the whitelist just as you added yourself, on the Minehut Console.

As you did before, you need to type in “whitelist add Username” and the user will then be added.

But, you can also add users to the whitelist in-game on your server as well.

Before you can add users to the whitelist in-game, you need to make sure you are OP (a server operator) on your server.

Being a server operator means you can execute commands. Even though you own the server, this doesn’t mean you are a server operator. You have to manually add yourself.

Once you are a server operator, you can then add users to the whitelist in-game.

So, you need to press the letter “T” on your keyboard, which will open the chat.

Then, you need to type in “/whitelist add” followed by the username of the person you want to add and to execute the command, you need to press Enter on your keyboard which will send the command.

You should get a response saying the user was added successfully to the whitelist.

If the command doesn’t work and you get a response saying this command does not exist, this is because you are not a server operator, so go and read the guide we linked above.

How to remove someone from the whitelist on your Minehut server

Here are the steps you need to follow to remove someone from the whitelist.

You can do this using the Console on Minehut, or in-game.

The steps are very similar, so we will explain how to do both methods in the same set of steps.

1. Go to Minehut or join your server

Firstly, you need to go to Minehut, or you can join your server.

2. Go to your Console and use the remove command

Skip this step if you want to remove someone from the whitelist in-game.

If you go to the Minehut website, you need to choose the server you want to remove someone from.

Then, you need to click on “Console” from the top navigation bar.

Next, you need to scroll down until you see the command line or text box labeled “Enter Command”.

You need to type in “whitelist remove” followed by the person’s username and press enter to execute the command.

Now, you should get a response saying “Removed username from the whitelist”.

You have successfully removed someone from the whitelist! You don’t need to read step three because that’s if you want to do it in-game.

3. Open the Minecraft chat and use the remove command

Read this step if you want to remove players from the whitelist in-game on Minecraft.

So, open the Minecraft chat by pressing “T” on your keyboard.

Then, you need to type in “/whitelist remove” followed by the username of the person you want to remove from the whitelist. You will need to press Enter on your keyboard to execute the command.

Now, you should get a response saying “Removed Example from the whitelist”.
