see deleted notifications on iphone

Do you want to see deleted notifications on your iPhone? Well, we’ve got you covered!

It’s an easy mistake to delete your notifications, and you probably want to recover them.

In this article, we will explain different ways you can see and recover your deleted notifications.

Let’s get right into this!

Scroll through the Notification Center

The first thing you need to do is scroll through the Notification Center.

Not all of your notifications will be visible until you start scrolling through them.

So, pull down the “Notification Center” by dragging your finger from the top of your iPhone screen and you will see the center appear.

Then, you can scroll down the list to expand it.

But, if this doesn’t yield the results you wanted, then let’s get into these other fixes.

Check the notification center in your apps

The first way to view notifications that you have deleted is to open apps that you commonly receive notifications on.

For example, we receive a lot of notifications on Instagram.

A lot of apps actually have their own notification center inside of the app, and because you only deleted the notifications from the Notification Center on your iPhone, then they will still be on the app that sent the notification.

it’s important to note that notification centers are located in different places on every app.

But, here are the steps to find Instagram’s notification center, also known as the “Activity” page.

Firstly, open Instagram and sign in or switch to the account that you want to check the notifications of.

Secondly, you need to go to the Instagram home page by tapping on the “Home” button. The icon looks like a house.

Then, in the top right, you will see three buttons.

You need to tap on the heart icon. This will take you to the “Activity” page.

Here, you can view all of the notifications that Instagram would have sent you before you deleted them.

Now, you can repeat this for every app on your iPhone, or just apps that you commonly receive notifications on in order to see the notification you deleted!

Manually check each app

The second way to see notifications you may have deleted is to manually check each app or the apps on which you expect to receive notifications.

This may seem like a tedious process, but it’s the best way to see deleted notifications.

The apps which are most likely to have sent you notifications will be messaging apps.

So, if you have apps like Snapchat, WhatsApp, and of course, your Messages app, these should all be checked as you will likely get a lot of notifications from them.

Also, a lot of apps will send you notifications that are not important. These include discounts and other similar things which don’t matter if you miss them.

This method applies to apps that don’t have their own notification center or the equivalent. If they do, make sure you read the previous method about this one.

Check for screenshots and screen recordings

It’s definitely worth checking your photos to see if you took any screenshots or screen recordings of your Notification Center.

This is a good way if you want to view all of the notifications you deleted, and will be a lot faster than checking all of the apps manually.

It’s quite common that you take screenshots by mistake, and it only takes a few seconds to check the Photos app!

However, you may not have taken any, so let’s get into another method, or try out the previous methods we have explained!

Final words

We hope you found this useful and that you managed to recover any notifications you have lost or deleted!

To be honest, it probably doesn’t matter too much if you deleted a notification by mistake.

If it was really important, it’s like you will receive another. This is because if you received an important message and you deleted the notification for it and so didn’t reply, then they will send another message asking if you saw it.
