The main thing that changes is that the number will now be able to contact you again.
So, they will be able to call, FaceTime, text, and iMessage you, among other things.

So, don’t worry, when you unblock someone, they will not get a notification saying “You were unblocked”.
The only way the person can find out that you unblocked them is that you may reply to their messages or answer their calls, which you wouldn’t have before because you had them blocked.
Also, depending on your settings, the person that you unblocked may see that you have read their messages if you open up the conversation and they send you a message since you have unblocked them.
Do you get messages after you unblock someone on your iPhone?
When you unblock someone on your iPhone, you will not get any messages that the person sent to you while you were blocked.
For example, if the person sent you a message or text while you had them blocked, your iPhone wouldn’t have shown it to you because you had them blocked.
This message is essentially deleted and won’t ever be shown to you. But, from the sender’s side, it would look like a normal delivered message.
So, it’s important to note that the person or number you blocked may still think you received the message and just ignored them, unless you had told them or they had figured out you had blocked them.
But, in reality, you have no idea what they have messaged you during the time you had them blocked.

During the time you have someone or a number blocked, you will not be able to view any of the messages or texts you get sent by the person.
Unfortunately, the texts are not put in a folder that you can view. Your iPhone pretty much deletes them from your device as soon as they arrive and are not displayed to you.
However, the person who originally sent the message or text will still be able to view the message that they sent to you, but you won’t know that they even sent it.
How to block a number on your iPhone
Here are the steps to block a number on your iPhone, and all other iOS devices as well.
There are two separate ways of blocking someone.
We will explain them both.
The first way to block a contact on your iPhone
Firstly, find the person you want to block by finding a message they have sent to you, or a time when they have called you.
If they have called you before, go to the Recents tab on the Phone app.
Then, find their number or name in the list. Now, go to the right-hand side, and tap on the “I” with a circle around it.
Now, tap on the “I” with a circle around it and this will open up a page with some more information about the number and the contact.
You need to scroll right to the bottom of this page, and there will be an option to “Block this caller”.
If you would like to block the caller, tap on the button.
You will need to confirm your decision by tapping “Block Contact” again.
It’s important to note that you will not receive phone calls, messages, or FaceTime calls on the block list.
Also, if you want to block someone and they have sent you a message, then open up the Messages app.
Then, find the conversation you have with them.
Open up the conversation, and tap on their profile picture (even if it’s blank).
Next, you need to tap on “Info”.
Now, one of the last options in the list on the information page will be “Block this Caller”.
So, tap on it, and you will need to confirm your decision by tapping on “Block Contact” again.
The second way to block a contact on your iPhone
Here is the second way you can block a contact or a number on your iPhone.
Firstly, you need to open up the Settings app.
Secondly, you need to scroll down and look for the “Phone” option.
Tap on “Phone” and this will take you to your phone settings.
You need to scroll down the page a bit, and look for “Blocked Contacts”.
Tap on “Blocked Contacts” and you will be taken to a list of all of the numbers you have blocked.
In order to add another, you need to tap on “Add New…” which is at the bottom of the list.
Then, you will be able to select a contact you would like to block.
So, make sure you have created a contact for the number you want to block.
How to unblock a number on your iPhone
Here are the steps to unblock a number on your iPhone.
Firstly, you need to open the Settings app.
Secondly, you need to scroll down until you see the option for “Phone”.
Once you see it, tap on it.
Now, you are in the phone settings.
Scroll down the phone settings until you see the option for “Blocked Contacts”.
You should now see a list with all of the numbers and contacts that you have blocked.
Next, you need to tap on “Edit” in the top right of your screen.
This will bring up a red dot with a horizontal white line on it. This is a unlock button.
So, tap on the unblock button next to the number, or contact that you want to unblock.
Then, the number will slide across and reveal a red rectangular button with “Unblock” inside of it.
Tap on “Unblock”, and the number will be removed from the list!
Also, unblocking someone is not a permanent action.
You can always block someone again if you need to.
