So, the number of anyone you call or text on TextFree will not be shown on your phone bill.

This is because TextFree isn’t directly sending text messages or making calls through the mobile network.

What actually happens is that when you send a text or make a call, you first connect to TextFree’s server.

Then, the server connects to the phone or mobile network to send the SMS message, or dial the number. This is utilizing VOIP technology (voice over internet protocol).

This means that when you use TextFree you need to have a connection to the internet. You can use WiFi or cellular data.

If you don’t have any phone signal, you can still use TextFree, but you need to still be connected to the internet using broadband or WiFi.

Now that you know TextFree utilizes the internet, you may be wondering if it will appear on your cellular data or internet bill.

Well, every mobile network provider will be slightly different, but most phone or cellular data bills will not show exactly what you used data on.

Your bill wouldn’t say who you sent or received messages/calls from because your network doesn’t actually know what did on the app.

All your mobile provider can see is that you were connected to the TextFree servers.

The difference between sending a traditional SMS message directly from your phone and using TextFree is that with an SMS message your phone connects to a mobile network and then sends the text.

Your network provider will be able to see what was in the message and who it was sent to.

But, when you use TextFree, your network provider cannot see what you sent or, who it was to.

Also, what we have just explained is very similar to your broadband or internet provider.

All the internet provider can see is that you were connected or used TextFree’s servers.

If you are extremely worried about your mobile network provider or internet service provider (ISP) viewing your usage on the internet, then you should consider using a virtual private network (VPN).

By using a VPN, all your ISP or mobile network provider can see is that you are connected to a VPN.

Remove TextFree calls from Recents

It’s important to note that when you make a call on TextFree, it will be shown in the Recents section on the Phone app.

But, this is not reflected on your phone bill. It’s completely separate,

This just shows all of the calls you made from your phone, whether they are traditional calls using the phone network, or internet-based calls (VOIP).

Also, it’s very easy to remove calls from the Recents page.

However, once you have removed calls from the Recents page, you won’t be able to undo the action, so make sure you won’t regret it.

1. Open the Phone app

Firstly, you need to open the Phone app.

Usually, it’s on the app dock at the bottom of your screen, unless you have moved it.

2. Tap on Recents

Secondly, you need to tap on Recents which is at the bottom of your screen.

Then, you will be able to see all of the calls you have made from your phone, regardless of if they’re internet-based calls or traditional calls connecting to your mobile network.

3. Delete calls from Recents

There are two different ways you can delete calls from Recents.

The first way starts by you tapping on “Edit” in the top right of your screen.

Then, a remove button will appear next to each call you have previously made. It looks like a red dot with a white dash on it.

When you tap on it, a Delete button will appear on the right-hand side. It is a red rectangle with “Delete” in white text inside it.

So, if you want to delete the call, tap on Delete and it will be removed from the list.

Now, we will explain the second way.

You need to find the call you want to delete in the list.

Then, you need to place your finger on it and move it from right to left.

This will reveal a “Delete” button.

You can then tap on the Delete button and the call will be removed from the list.
